Colombia Supremo
Colombian beans are the most commonly brewed single-origins in the United
States. Considered the best of the standard coffees of the world, Colombian
Supremo is very versatile and takes just about any roast profile well, which
adds to its common place on store shelves worldwide. At BB Joe, we cup this
coffee and roast it to the perfect profile in order to bring out the bright,
rich flavor everyone has come to love it for.
Brazil Serra Negra Standard and Espresso
This coffee is a pre-blended variety from several farms in Brazil. It
has a natural sweet citrus appeal to it. We offer it here as a medium-roast
standard coffee that retains all the brightness Brazilian beans have to offer
as well as an espresso coffee with a Vienna roast profile that sweetens it
up for a more nutty chocolate taste.
FTO Ethiopia Sidamo
Ahhh! Thom's favorite single-origin coffee! If you like hints of blueberry in your
coffee, just do yourself a great service and order this. This coffee is Fair Trade
and organic from the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union,
so you can feel good twice when you're drinking it. Enjoy!
Tanzania Peaberry
This could be called the peach cobbler of coffee. It comes with natural peach spice
overtones. When you grind it fresh in your kitchen and brew it up for your guests,
don't be surprised if they think you're baking something special along with it.
Panama Boquete
This coffee is semi-bright, but smoothly balanced with an essence of dark chocolate.
It is a hard bean grown in high elevations. Most of Panama's Boquete region coffee
is grown in volcanic soil, giving it a very smooth appeal to your palate.
Costa Rica Café
Vida Co-op
Bright and fruity, this coffee is known for its citrus acidity. And while you
enjoy the flavor, you can be pleased to know that you're drinking a product of
the successful Coopronaranjo R.L., a coffee cooperative formed in 1968, which
now consists of more than 2500 members.
SFI Guatemala
Huehuetenango
If you dare to mix chocolate in with good coffee, this is one of the best coffees for making mocha.
This coffee is full of sweet floral chocolaty appeal. It is also a product grown with
the guidance of Slow Food International, a movement which is helping small-scale farmers
retain crop variety and good agricultural practices.
FTO Nicaragua
Jinotega SHG
Fair-Trade, Organic, and Strictly High Grown, this is a prized and premium coffee from the Jinotega region of Nicaragua.
This coffee presents a unique spicy essence to the palate with hints of cherry and cedar tones.
We roast this at a medium-dark profile to maximize sweetness while leaving enough of the origin
in the coffee to know where it hails from. Each sip will leave you feeling like you're hiking at a
high mountain retreat. Ahhh! Staycation never tasted so good!
Sumatra Mandheling Harimau Tiger
The only single-origin we currently carry from Indonesia, Sumatra Mandheling is perhaps
the most common household name in single-origins with the exception of Colombia Supremo,
and for good reason. This coffee is well-known for it's earthy cocoa undertones and
it's full body in the cup. The preparation of this coffee is Grade 1 and sun-dried on
clay patios and canvas. When you grind this coffee, you will smell the difference!
Ethiopia Sidamo SWP DECAF
This decaf coffee is decaffienated using the Swiss Water Process, so it retains
all of the wonderful flavors of the original without all the spark. It is the most
blueberry tasting coffee around. A great coffee to have on hand for those unexpected
late-night guests.
Kenya AA DECAF
Kenya AA coffee is the top grade of coffee, often used to blend with in order
to improve lesser grades. This coffee is grown in the Mt. Kenya region at very
high altitudes. The volcanic soil makes it smooth, smooth, smooth. While we plan
to restock the standard version of Kenya AA coffee, you can still enjoy the premium
decaffienated version if you order now. This stuff goes quickly!
